Wedding Planning Video: Choosing the right day

When do you think your wedding day should be? The start of the month? Middle of it? The end of the month? Well, here’s a quick guide and a short run-through about picking the best day for your dream wedding.

January, February, and March — are the least popular for weddings while June, August, September, and October are the most popular. December is a questionable month to have a wedding, because it is shadowed by many corporate parties and personal events, but if you do book months or a year early from the due date you’ve set, you’ll likely get discounted prices on your reception site — not to mention most of your other wedding services, like catering, photography, and flowers except around Valentine’s Day and Easter, of course, when roses and lilies are at a premium because they’re in high demand.

Here’s a brief course on choosing the best day/date for your wedding:

Here are more superstitions on dates for weddings:

“Sukob”  in English means – conflict, it is the most known superstition for weddings and deaths. Sukob sa Kasal – is a belief that misfortune will befall upon the couple if they decide to get married during the same year as their sibling whom will also get married. While Sukob sa Patay – means weddings should not fall during the year of mourning over a deceased immediate family, else again, misfortunes will come on the couple’s way.

In English folklore, Wednesday is considered the “best day” to marry, although Monday is for wealth, Tuesday is for health and Saturday is the unluckiest wedding day, Funny — it’s the most popular day of the week to marry!
